Thanks! Never heard of a "lash" before. This hen was a rescue from a commercial breeding operation. Wonder it that's why she was past her "sell by date". Also wondering if she will start laying normally again. These two "eggs" are the first I have gotten from her since I acquired her in...
What the H*** is this?! Have had a hen (black australorp) that has been feeling under the weather for about a week or so. Not eating, lethargic and increasingly bad diarhea. Started her on broad spectrum antibiotics and three days later (yesterday) found a large egg shaped glob in the coop...

Never posted here before, but have gotten lots of good information from you all.
Have read many of the predator posts, but I am truly stumped. Went out to my coop this morning and no birds, some feathers scattered around, 'tho. Once I got inside (mind you this is a very secure coop situated...
'K Haven't heard anybody say bees (no bees, no crops). do they count? Definitely chickens (meat, eggs) goats (milk, cheese, meat, field mowing, brush fire control), donkey (predator control, field mowing, meat if necessary); pigs, cows if available, although not required.
