    I have absolutely zero experience in this subject but I was thinking some soft lights, put on the best of Barry White and chill a bottle of Chardonnay would be a good start. Or does Merlot go better with chicken?

    Red tailed hawk killed my chicken

    Not sure if this really helps or not but I remember as a kid my Grandpa hanging dried cord up about 20 feet high with holes drilled in them for the Martins to move in. I guess they were to help keep chicken hawks away. Or at least that's what the nosy grandson was told.

    my coop burned down, need heating ideas

    We always used a 100 watt light bulbs in our coop and our pump house. Our coop and pump house were both insulated and the bulbs would keep it above freezing. Plus the coop stayed open to the run all the time. Sorry for the loss.

    Hounds do need a lot of room to run. This weekend we are headed to the Ocala National Forest. Spending the weekend running beagles. Ours will run for miles. We have to use tracking collars to locate our dogs. We can track them up to 12 miles with the Johnson tracking collars. Hoot

    I don't think the OSB would hold up very long, even with a good quality paint. Any moisture would cause it to swell and fall apart. I wonder how hardy board would do? It's a concrete/Fiber board. Looks good and should last forever.
