I wouldn't bring them back. Even if you did, you probably wouldn't put them together and she would still want to be with or near him. And this is better for her in the long run even if she seems upset. She'll settle down over the next few days
I had 3 drakes so now I have 2, but I got them 4 females to keep them company. I know you're supposed to have 3-6 females per male, but one of my drakes is a jumbo pekin so he's never been able to catch a girl, let alone do what they do :love
I recently had a similar incident happen. I put my 3 drakes in their coop one night and when I came to let them out, one of the boys had died. Some people think they got into a fight, but my boys love each other and none of them had any wounds on them, indicating they may have fought. And the...
Yeah that's what our chicken did when she was attacked. She hid herself somewhere but thankfully made it back to the coop. She didn't look good though so if yours aren't showing or don't seem to be eating the food, it may be too late
If the cat is coming back to the coop that may indicate she's looking for more prey because she knows they're there now, so I would also keep an eye on that :D
It's possible that they're still out there somewhere. We live in the mountains and something got one of our chickens, but she ended up coming back 3 days later. I would say keep leaving food and water out for them, and maybe try calling for them? (Idk if your chickens come for you but mine do so...
How do their quacks sound? I don't see any drake feathers, so they both look like girls, but some drakes don't develop drake tails, or the pictures don't show them :highfive:
I would say 2 females but honestly I don't know for sure. If they were roos, even at this age the boys would be developing bigger combs, my Wyandotte rooster had a noticeably bigger comb at just a few weeks. They're both adorable though :)
