    She is just in a nesting box, so I suppose the others could be yes. We’ve had another one go broody a couple times and she just keeps them in the nesting box and hatches them fine so we left this one to do the same. But maybe that’s a problem?

    My hen hast hatched her first chicks in October. They have always been with my flock and have been fine.     Thank you, it was hard, I hate that we lost her but I wanted to make sure my others weren’t at risk. I’m glad to hear they most likely are safe. won’t be the same without miss fluff butt.

    There was quite a bit of fat, covering most organs I had to remove a lot of it to see mostly anything.

    We feed a egg layer mix that a local feed store makes, with the occasional black soldier fly larva as a treat. And they have grit and oyster shell available.
