I have 3 Buckeye roos and they seem to get along. They have their occasional spats. They are all 10 months old. My 9 hens though are get no rest even in the nesting box. They say 1 is good, 2 bad, 3 good. Hopefully I'll hatch out more hens and give the 9 a rest.

I too have a problem with balding hens. My Buckeye roos are horney little guys and several of my hens have no feathers on their heads. One even has a bloody comb. I was going to put some bacitracin ointment on it. Is that OK?

I have a Buckeye hen that consistently lays double yolks. The eggs are almost twice the size of a normal egg. About the same size as my turkey eggs. What would happen if I incubated one?

I have used the metal water heater with metal watering can. It has a built in themostat that turns on at about 38 degrees.

My Blacks processed at 15 lbs for the toms and 8-10 lbs for the hens after 30 weeks. From everything I've read the Royal Palms are about the same size.
