I have always thought this one as a pullet, however in the last few weeks the comb and waddles have really developed. It’s 15 weeks old. No crowing or Ru behavior. What do you think?
This is Marvin, you all thought he looked like a cockerel. He’s 12 weeks now. No crowing, still super small. Is showing a little copper color. Marvin or Marian? 😊
This is my first time having chicks. In the past I just got bullets so I knew I had females. I’ve determined that one for sure is a cockerel out this batch. Thoughts on others. I would only want to have 1 rooster. The first one is lavender Orpington. The second one was sold as an olive Egger...
So earlier people thought this copper Marans was a cockerel. Are we still thinking that? It’s 9 weeks old, the smallest of the 8 chicks by quite a bit. They are all the same age. His comb is a bit red, but nit huge. Has small feet.
I have two lavender Orpington’s, One is larger than the other With more of a comb. Neither of them are red in color Or have waddles that I can see. What do you think. 2 pullets?
I was hoping they might just develop comb sooner. I have 2 isa browns that have bigger red combs. This one is so small which has me a bit stumped. Also late to get feathers in.
This little one is six weeks old. She is the smallest of the nine chicks that I have. I was hoping she was a bullet, but wondering because her comb is rather large. I don’t see much in the way of waddles, her legs are small in comparison to other chicks. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
They are a beautiful, now hoping they are pullets. One of my lavender orpington looks to be a rooster. If I’m going to keep a rooster, I’m hoping it to be him.
The grey ones are. The ones I’m looking at are the 2 darker ones and the light one. The reddish one is very different from the dark grey one. Someone thought it might be Americana.
