    You will have a hard time keeping quail with so many preditors. Cement is best bet, everything else will be chewed threw and snakes will love them.

    Coons in my tree....Well they use to be....

    Racoons, Racoons, Racoons............They are everywhere. They run along my fence line to go hunting by the duck pond. A cat follows it everywhere. They are about twenty or so feet from my coop and don't even bother to mess with it, guess the ducks/garbage cans are easier prey. I like um!

    The problem is the chase/kill drive in dogs. As soon as the cat runs is usually when its over. My old mean cat kept off a rottweiler. She rules this house, no doubt. See, though, she doesn't run, she knows not to. I agree with the kennel that there is no way the dog can somehow grab her...

    I know nobody goes by it but I called Fish and Game where I was directed from the humane society, here in Humboldt california I found out it is illegal to trap (even with those from the store) unless you have a permit to do so.
