    Mulitple coops?

our chickens free range and we have not gotten them an actual coop yet, but we are looking into it. They usually just come up onto the covered patio and sleep up on the tall patio furniture. The three older hens are wyandottes and I believe the four younger ones are austrolorp, easter egger...

    Mulitple coops?

I got one group of hens, and they are now six months old and laying their first eggs. I just recently got four new chicks and I heard that I should get two coops, one for each group. Is this necessary or would they be able to share one coop with out having any problems?

    First Eggs!

My three hens laid their first eggs, with out me knowing. They laid 24 behind a few bushes instead of their nesting box. Now I'm curious as to whether I should put their nesting box behind the bushes for easier maintenance or if I should leave the spot alone.

    Eating fertile eggs?

I bought four chickens at one week old and one of them turned out to be a rooster. I originally got chickens for the sole purpose of having fresh eggs, Is it ok to eat eggs that have been fertilized?

    Sensory Disorder?

My three-month old chicken has started acting a little odd. When her and her sisters come up to visit us on our patio table at night and she sits on her tail sticking her feet out. If she bumps into anything, if someone touches her, or if you place her on the table she scurries backwards while...

    Black Australorp Rooster

My family and I bought 4 baby week old chicks about 3 months ago. We were told that our chances of them turning out to be roosters were slim to none, but with our luck we now have a rooster that we can no longer keep. We are in need of finding him a new loving home very soon. He is a very sweet...
