Oh happy candling! Excited for you (Im a 3-5 day candler myself) Clear goes bye bye as do black spot eggs and ones with a dark ring. You will probably have to google candling egg pics to know what Im talking about....but once you get the feel for the good the bad the ugly and the "maybes"...
PS Ive found that the warm eggs help keep them warm so not a biggie nor are the shells, BUT if you have TOO MANY eggs in there with no real space and they are on top of them and you are using a styrofoamie they CAN and WILL burn their heads on the element....just an FYI.
LOL!!! Congrats....this is why its always good...even with the styrofoamies to have a seperate one EMPTY (so hard not to fill them) where you can quickly gather up (have ya a basket handy) and move all those little soccer player into your "hatcher/dryer" in one smooth move.

I USED to drag race a VERY POWERFUL strip car, it would pull the front wheels and sling ya back....I never peed (and Ima wussy gurl) but after my first few passes in that car I did get out and toss my cookies. Lesson learned....NEVER EVER EVER eat cheese fries (or anything else) on race day...
