12 week production reds
No crowing, at least not that I've heard (though I'm gone at work for a large part of the day). At 14 weeks now, they look pretty much the same as they did at 12 weeks. No additional comb or wattle development. They seem a bit... ditzy compared to my EEs, but I'll forgive them for that if they...- iella

I do like them quite a lot! I would say they're more skittish than my other 3 (EEs), but they're definitely not mean as some people have described PRs. Hoping they will start laying (and not crowing!) around 23 weeks... 2.5 months to go!- iella

12 weeks old as of today. #1 #2 #3 Based on comb development and color at 12 weeks, I want to say all pullets... but their hackle feathers are suspiciously pointy and shiny, and their faces are quite red. Your help is appreciated!- iella

So, I was sighing in relief that all my EEs were pullets, then this happened (bird pictured on right) That redness in the shoulders... I should be worried, right? The only thing is, no comb to speak of at 10 weeks: Someone tell me I'm just being paranoid!- iella

Chickenpalz, I can't really tell either! I'll take another set of pictures this weekend and photograph them individually instead of in a group setting... Chickenman76, I figured it was about two weeks too early... patience is not my strong suit. Can't rush nature though! Thanks for your thoughts.- iella
