My white leghorn i got last summer usually lays just fine, but recently ive been finding tons of rotten eggs from her? I know the eggs are hers because shes my only white layer and i got the chance to wait for her to lay her egg this morning. Its been 6 days of finding her rotten eggs in the...
Thanks so much! In my experience with ducklings, if they act like a rowdy boy, they're a girl and she is sooooo naughty. Her name is Valentina for now but if she ends up being a drake, I think Valentino is very cute as well. ♥️
I'm not home, but when I checked this morning it was doing fine and was out of the shell. It had some weird gunk coming out of the belly button and still had it's eyes closed but was still making zipping motions.

Does anyone know of any similar article of the Poultry Hub AU chicken egg development article with duck embryos?
It was very helpful for my son who kept cracking open his chicken eggs to see what was going on inside😞
He's trying ducks now and I can tell that he's DYING to crack those babes open...
I have 3 chicks that are 1 week old, we experience power outages frequently in my area due to snowstorms. We have a generator outside for our chicken coop heater and winter lights. Could I potentially put them out there with my flock and keep them separated but visible so there isn't fighting?
Hi! This is my first post, and I was wondering if anyone knew if a standard infrared heating lamp secured to the roof of their coop is sufficient for regular laying. The sun goes up at 7ish am and i want to keep the light on full until 9:30 then use an automatic dimmer to mimic a sunset in their...
