Lethargic hen, excessive drinking but not eating

She ended up passing. We had a necropsy and it turned out she had at some point eaten metal. She was anemic and had an intestinal blockage. :(

Lethargic hen, excessive drinking but not eating

I started her on Corid last night and just gave her a dose of Safeguard. We’ll contact the vet tomorrow about getting a fecal float. About the crop issue, it feels soft and squishy and not hard so I don’t think it’s impacted. If it was sour crop, could we just be catching it early since...

Lethargic hen, excessive drinking but not eating

2 month old chick with broken leg

One of our 2 month old frizzle chicks has what seems to be a broken leg and I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to help them? The leg is all bruised and it won’t put any weight on it. We’re currently keeping it inside separated from the others. Should we splint it? Any suggestions would...
