I have a chick with an infection...she definitely has a fever because she is shivering and she has a soft mass that developed quickly over a couple days ...do you suggest draining the mass also can you give chickens antibiotics
Our Little hen was attacked today. Likely a dog. She was wet. A large tear in her skin ~3cm x5 cm with two puncture wounds causing a 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm by 0.5 cm muscle injury each. We closed her skin with sutures and washed with diluted betadine. She is limping. Her breathing is regular, panting...

The Hens finally learned to drink from the Nipples yesterday!

Legal- I think the municipal codes states that You can't have Pigs, sheep, cows, goats or any wild animal with the exception of reptiles or birds.
Last time I checked Chickens are Birds!
