    Salmonella cross contamination?

    My daughter is revamping her turtle tank, removing all the rocks and sand. We were going to put the sand in the chicken run and the rocks in the yard. Both animals carry salmonella - but will exposure to the sand/rocks from the turtle tank adversely affect my chickens?

    Thanks for the tip! :D Actually, at the time they were only about a week old. I'd read from someone else that adding apple cider vinegar to their water would fix pasty butt, so I started doing that and it worked like magic! :D
