    She is somewhat low in the pecking order. We don't really have a lot of mosquitoes, and none of the other hens are exhibiting symptoms. Maybe she is getting pecked. Thanks for your reply.

    I just noticed that one of my barred rocks has something on her comb. Any ideas what the problem may be? She's about 2 years old. None of my other hens are affected.

    I live in the country, so I can keep whatever I want. He really is too pretty to eat. So now I have to decide whether to eat the chicken or build him his own little condo. I'm really leaning toward a condo. :)

    Here's my prettiest bird. It is 3 months old, and is a Buff Orpington/Maran cross (maybe). We got a couple birds from this lady, and she was kinda crazy. She also had Araucanas on the property so who knows what it is... So. Is my hen a roo? Beefy legs... These two are the same age...
