    make sure they are away from the rest of the flock and the silkie will take care of everything just give her the essentials (food, water ect.)

    Hi Ya you deffinetly have to get at least two. You can get bantams because they are very small and could probaly get more then one. Look in the breed section of BYC. Good Luck

    German Shepherds and chickens - good combo?

    I would get a Border Collie I have 2 and they protect the chickens from everything they have chased coyotes and foxes away and they could learn to herd them.
