had the possum thing happen to me tonight - lost 6 bantam chicks. hope she enjoyed her last meal - she's just *dying* for dessert now. seems she doesn't like 9 shot too much. time to reinforce my defences.
yeah - i learned the hard way today too - lost 6 to a possum. came home at 11:30pm and 3 with heads missing and another 3 missing completely. had the pleasure of scattering her over a half-acre though. will be enclosing my henhouse with wire tomorrow. hard for me because i work an evening shift...
As you guys can tell - I don't get online often. Hope to be on more now that I have DSL (never thought I'd see the day I would get it way out here though.) I work for the local cable company and have weird hours so late nights is about the only time I have to read the board. I'll be around...

Just down from what USED to be Payless Cashways (now a Goodwill outlet.) Been there many times. I'll report back and let you know how the flour tortillas are - *after* the margueritas wear off.

Wow - small world. I'm 5 miles out of Frankston going towards Neches on FM19. I worked at the Lowes there in Palestine for a month filling in while a bunch of guys were on vacation.
Maybe we can chat more later.

Well, Anderson County checking in - but it looks pretty lonely here!
I'm about 6 miles from a small town called Frankston. Nothing here but dirt and deer.
I LOVE it!!

Just moved back to the country after spending WAY too many years in the Metroplex chasing a career that ended up in ruins. The old homeplace needs a lot of fixing up and updating - but it'll be fun.
Got a few chicks at Tractor Supply the other day (Ok - go ahead - you KNOW you want to laugh!)...
