    Newly hatched chick without eyes

Hi, I've just hatched a new batch of button quails. I noticed that one had difficulty moving, but its legs were alright. It's eyes still hadn't opened unlike the others, so I gently opened it's eye lid and saw that it didn't have eyes. There wasn't any blood and it didn't seem to be hurting from...

duckling can’t open eyes or walk!!

I don't think it's gonna make it because of the yolk sac. If it hatched with it's yolk sac still outside, it is very likely for it to be infected.

Thinning feathers... Could it be bugs? Pecking?

It doesn't look like pecking as theres no blood and almost seems like its been delicately plucked.

    Does this look like bumblefoot?

Yep looks like bumblefoot. You can see that on both feet on the middle toe, there are what look like bumps and that is a common sign of bumblefoot.

Uh oh newbie mistake with turkey and chicken eggs put in incubator on same date! Help?

First, after some hatch you are able to take them out, just make sure to add more water. Second, I think it is best to temporarily move the turkey eggs outside with the broody hen during the time when the chicken eggs are estimated to hatch.

When can I give millet and greens to my button quail chick?

Don't worry you can totally feed those around after 2 weeks old. Just make sure to not give too much

    food

Well I would always try to use unmedicated feed, but if it comes to it, theres generally no true harm in feeding medicated feed.

    Mearns Quail care

I'd say depending on the size of the coop/aviary, around 4-6

    Mearns Quail care

Well a pair would be harder to find for sale, but if you buy eggs, there could be too many males.

Larger chick is "mothering" other chick?

Same, even if they're only couple hrs older than the rest.
