Sorry I have another question, I've been able to get the black scab off but it bleeds and forms a new scab and I can't seem to make any progress. How can I prevent the scab from forming again?
Her wound is doing much better, and I've been able to get a lot of the black scabs off and under it is nice pink skin. But what would you recommend I do to treat her infection? All around her wound seems to be swollen and protruding. Is there anything at tractor supply company I could get?
How should I clean off the black stuff? I've been picking away at it with tweezers but a lot of it is stuck on her skin and it bleeds when I pull it off.
I have no way to keep her in the house, but I've been keeping her in the coop with everything closed and some spray to keep the flies away as well as keeping the coop clean

I've heard of people using ointments to starve them of air so they come up... I decided to put a ton all over the wound and it seems to be working, it looks like the maggots are getting close to the surface just after a few minuts so I'm going to start plucking and hope they decide to go further...
