They had three doses of antibiotics but all died. The 2 in the incubator are (🤞) doing really well. Took them out this morning 24 hrs after hatching, in a box on a towel with egg cups for water and scrambled egg until the country pet shop opened to buy new food (last lot was from the internet)...
I’ve checked and no Teflon. I think it was their food. They showed signs of botulism, head back etc. We’ve raised a number of fowl with no issues, just none from eggs unless hen driven. The two remaining fingers crossed look entirely different, with hindsight as soon as they fed they went...
Thank you. I’ll check the towel temperature again. It’s in my dining room with double glazing and the door closed. The house is at 18-19 degress C so not cold? The run has wooden blanked out sides. I think the lamp may have been too low maybe? But the brooder is big and plenty of space to move...
Finally hot through to ‘specialist’ vet (read double fee). He sounded baffled, have antibiotics on their way. Continuing with sugar water and scrambled egg.
