I'm right there with you. With my friends home flock either only half the ladies are laying or only half are laying in the boxes... and her roo is not the nicest... I don't even try to go looking for the eggs outside the coop; way, way to many brambles.

Wow I seriously cant keep up with all of you! My chicks are growing so fast and the males that were "thrown in" for free are almost ready for auction. Still don't know what type they are... other then barred. I've been taking care of my friends animals as she's helping out a friend who is on...

I am getting so impatient. I got the email saying that the first shipment had shipped and now I just want them here. I can't wait to see my new babies and my son is so excited as well. In other news my friends chicks are about to hatch so when I went over to clean out the brooder and get...

Good luck with that. I've noticed that all my friends hens tend to go broody in groups. Or follow each other. Well other then Wendy, who is a lovely bantam Cochin/ Silkie mix that goes broody from about May to November with only a little bit in between. But she's a good mama and we love her lil...

The best part of all this is I found out that where I am getting one of my orders from is going to have red cochins in soon... And both my friend and I have been wanting them. So guess what I'll be ordering after my next paycheck... heehehe. Good lord, there goes the chicken math...
