They're the same breed at the same age; your logic is flawed, because their combs are worlds apart - the pullet comb is still yellow as you see with leghorn pullets of that age, as well as being a different size, shape and arrangement of points. One is a pullet and one is a cockerel.

Yellow is recessive but it is still partially expressed in heterozygotes, just less strongly yellow. So WwIdId is still yellow and Wwid+id+ is still green, just less saturated.
