    We feel layers pellets, black oil sunflower seeds and then we give them a scoop or 2 of scratch every day and then we give them some random veggies scraps from the day. I havent given the oyster shells yet so I will grab some and try.

    That's very true! I'm sure with time it gets somewhat easier to do. I do think we have to but we were hoping we would be able to help the chick before coming to that.
