Wondering if anyone can help me figure out whats going on with my Hen! She is about 7 months old and been laying for a couple month now. And over the last month ive noticed her eggs are supper thin, lighter colored then the others (barred rock) and have calcium build up. None of the hens are showing symptoms of sickness and i havent notice any of them picking on any of them. Not really sure what else to look for.

Do you free feed oyster shell? It helps make the shells stronger. From what the eggs look like, she may have a problem with either making calcium or distributing it throughout the eggshell.

If it's just one bird having trouble forming eggs,
it's not likely the diet, but......
What all and how exactly are you feeding?
Is she the low bird, maybe getting picked on and/or being kept away from feeder?

We feel layers pellets, black oil sunflower seeds and then we give them a scoop or 2 of scratch every day and then we give them some random veggies scraps from the day. I havent given the oyster shells yet so I will grab some and try.

Try cutting out everything but the layer feed for a couple weeks, see if that helps.
Put the OS in a separate container, do not mix with the feed.
