    I usually put a piece of newspaper on the wire floor- you can change it daily to keep it clean and the chickies like it

    Oh ya, I should mention that we had a hen go broody and I put 8 mixed eggs under her and she hatched 6 of them!! 4yellow and 2 black chickies. She is one proud mamma. They are a week old and doin great.

    Im in the same boat as you!!! one egg has hatched with 20 more to go on day 22!! Makes you melt eh?!? We have red and black sexlinks, plymoth rocks, leghorns, 3 banties and a male/female americana. She hasnt started to lay yet but I want to hatch every egg she lays hahaha.

    Yay, I have managed to hatch one little fellow!!! He has been out of the egg for 16hrs now but has not gotten fluffy. Is this normal? His fluff all seems to be crusty. Should I do something? Im still waiting for 20 other eggs to hatch in the incubator. Im worried that they are not going to...
