One of my 7 month old Leghorns stopped laying 10 days ago. She seems to be fine, eating and interacting with the flock. I live in California and the weather has been high 80's low 50's.
I'm new to this hobby so maybe it is normal.
My girls have been laying for a few months. Yesterday I went out to the coop and one was in the oddest position, standing up with her back against the nesting box wall, pushing like crazy. It sort of made me panic, egg bound ?
I thought it might be sort of a "watched pot" thing, so I went in...

I went in to Tractor Supply in March to buy my first pullets, how exciting. Well, they have a 6 chick minimum. They had 4 RIR left, but lots of cute balls of fluff in the "grab bag". I picked out 2, one solid white and the other with a small amount of black specks, Salt and Peppa.

I have not turned on the heat yet, just preparing for winter. I live in central california and it gets down to the 30's a few times but mostly nighttime is 40's.

Day 3 of the pullets area being open. It is about 3 ft wide and a total of 10 ft long. Now the top is open and an opening on each end.
The 3 youngens stick very close to each other, giving the 6 Big Girls a wide birth. I have noticed some loud squawks from the 3, but it is seems like a "oh crap...
