    4 of them are white (white leghorn was their mom) only one of them, the one in the front of this pic, has such a large and red comb. Are the other 3 probably hens then? Like the one in the center?

    Only one of these eggs was from my speckled Sussex hen, and the only rooster that fertilized these eggs was also a speckled Sussex. Do y'all think that this cockerel would have to be the one that was their baby? (All the other chicks came from Easter egger hens or white leghorn hens)

    Wow these chicks are so hard to photograph! I have 12 of them. I don't know if these pictures are going to be helpful at all but I'm wondering how many boys I ended up with. They are just over 5 weeks. I can take more pics if these are no good

    What is wrong with this chick??

    UPDATE: had to clean off pasty butt again this morning and now it looks even more swollen. I have the chicks electrolyte/probiotic/prebiotic water this morning. Also they get medicated feed.. any ideas of what I can do to help or what is wrong would be appreciated. This pic is after I cleaned it...

    What is wrong with this chick??

    Didn't notice this yesterday when I cleaned the bedding and checked all their butts.. but something is definitely wrong with this chick. Any ideas and how can I help it?

    Can this chick be saved?

    This poor chick has shell and stuff all hardened and stuck to it. It's like rock hard on one side.. is there a way to save it? Can I use warm water to wash it off?

    Is this chick still too wet?

    Their dad is a speckled Sussex and the mom's are either 1-speckled Sussex, 2- Easter egger, or 3-white leghorn. That particular egg was greenish blue so it must have been one of our 2 Easter eggers. I guess it's possible one of the hens sat on that egg and I didn't see it, but I've never seen...
