    Don't think so, judging from those photos. Her mouth looks clean and normal now, and previously it was white and swollen, like she'd drunk milk or cream!

    Some more photos of the black chick. Can someone explain how you can tell this is a rooster? I thought that if they had bumps on their comb bit, that was indicative of roosters, but this one is smooth? I'd be keen to know how to figure it out for future reference!

    Just looked down her throat.... Appear to be swollen or something, looks different to my other chickens! White and inflamed. She was also really agitated and after our first look, fought with us and wouldn't let us look again. If there is something lodged, its too irritated to see. Will follow...

    I've tried to google, with little luck. One of my hens (who is usually the noisest one) was making funny sounds this morning. It's like she's lost her voice. I checked a few other things: - Comb is fine, red, healthy, standing up straight - Eyes look clear, alert, no discharge - No discharge...

    Here's some more, I think this is as close as ill be able to get! Funny, I thought both had similar combs, but the frizzles is bumpy and the black on is smooth.

    I can try. It's a bit hard, they are pretty skittish. Usually my boys are better at catching them than I am, but the bigger they get the faster and smarter they get!

    Both of them have bumpy bits, but not sure if you'd call them a comb! Different to the rest of our chickens, so hard for me too tell! Both are 2 months and 10 days old, so about 10 weeks? And no, the other older on is definitely a hen, she's been laying eggs for us for ages!
