    Predator took all 5 hens last night! I feel horrible!

    Very sorry for your loss. I would think a Fox did this. We lost one hen about 3 months ago and looks like same predator. All we had left was the head. We also had feathers all over the your but it only took one of the four.

    So sorry for your loss. We lost one of our 4 hen 2 weeks ago to a predator. We never were able to find out what did it. We live in the middle of a big city.

    If you want to keep him I would try showing him you are boss. Hold him down for few min, grab him by the legs and hold him upside down, peck him on the back of his neck. You can not just give in to him being a bully.

    Yes that all sounds like good advice. Thanks you all for the reply’s. at is horrible but might be. We have a7 foot privacy fence and gate locked . That is not easy to do.

    The coop is I closed with chicken wire. It seems this happened after the auto door opened to let them out.

    Yes it is so exciting when you get those first eggs. My 4 RIR are now laying 4 eggs a day. Congrats on the eggs.

    Thank all of you for the input. I will start being a less tolerant and peck on on the head when she does this. I also think pushing her away may help. maybe not hand them any more. I also like the idea off picking her up that way she know I am the big chicken in this yard. Thanks Again.
