Pullet first egg

So my OE laid her first egg. I was really excited until I picked it up and saw..

Is this normal or should I be worried?

Its normal to see a weird first egg, but I've never seen something like that. Is the egg empty?

It doesn't really look like an egg and certainly not normal. It looks like a rubber ball or part of a baster.
I've seen a lot of weird eggs over time, some with long tails etc. but never a hole at the end of the short tail.
How old is the bird? What is the diet?
Keep us informed of other anomalies.

Depending on the age of the pullet, I might suspect someone is playing a prank.
I'd definitely break it open to see if there is albumen and yolk inside.

I would find a way to preserve that "egg". It's actually very beautiful! I'd take whatever contents are in it out and then shellac it or something. Set it up on an egg stand. What a piece of art!

Wow, yeah first egg is always *different* but that is plain weird. That said... I wouldn't really worry until you see the next egg. Also, pretty olive color, will be a neat layer when she's ready.

But first eggs are not always normal.
