  7. This is Petunia. She is a premie chick. She tried to hatch, but for days she was drowning in the albumen that she never absorbed. She finished absorbing the yolk after we hatched her. She was born sticky and was on the verge of death. She shook all over, but she was a tough little bird. Shes a week old and is doing great. She loves to cuddle in my hand as if shes still in the egg. As the other chicks grow, she seems to remain tiny. Shes the sweetest little baby we've ever had

    MY HEN CROWS!!!!

    I've been reading about this. And a lot of people are saying if there is no rooster, a female may take on the dominant role and start crowing. I have 4 roosters, and I have a hen that lays eggs and sits on the nest, and crows all day long.
