I have a hen with an ear infection. I have her some ear drop. I was reading that you can give amoxicillin. I have 500mg tablets. How much water do I dissolve them in and then how much do I give her. She is not a laying hen.

I dont have any advice but wanted to say im so sorry to hear that. I love my pet chickens dearly. It seems to me that if she is alert she will be okay. Ckickens seem somewhat delicate, but i sence they are very strong and hardy.

She is accepted..it did take about a week and in the end I just had to leave her out with them and leave them all alone. She had a separate spot in the run at first, and it took about two weeks before they would let her roost with them. She wasnt pecked or harmed too much but they did keep her...
