    First time Cornish X how much feed per bird per day.

    I would like to know the answer to this as well. I have seen other threads on here referencing a chart, but have been unable to find it when searching. Also, when should you switch from chick starter to meatbird crumbles? I have 11 cornish crosses that are three weeks old still eating...

    Hatch Along 4th of March?

    Had a second pip when I woke up this morning. Pip #1 has a small hole just large enough for the end of the beak to stick out. Has been that way for 8 hours. Do I help? If not, how long do I wait before I help? I can see its beak moving so I know it is still alive.

    Indiana. I would think it should not be much further than Texas, but you never know about USPS. I have never ordered chicks thru the mail before. Only hatched them myself or bought locally. Congrats on the new chicks and don't for get to post pics!

    I have 18 eggs in my home made incubator right now. Depending on how the hatch goes, I may have to order the surprise!

    Well I woke up this morning to another burned out light bulb and a incubator at 80 degrees. If any of these hatch they will be some tough chicks.

    Pips already? Your bator must have been running a little warm. Mine are all in lock down now. Started with 12 White Leghorn and 12 RIR. 4 Infertile RIR, 1 RIR day 10 quitter and 2 WL day 5 quitters. That leaves me with 7 RIR and 10 WL going into lock down. 17 out of 24 seems pretty...

    Well if I calculated the days correctly, after 1pm today I can candle the eggs for the last time and put them into lock down. When does everyone else go into lock down?

    How are everyones eggs doing after candling this weekend? I am down to 7 RIR & 9 WL. Most of the RIR were not even fertile. Some eggs look like they are a few days behind while others look right on track.

    Please share any tips tricks to rasie humidity in LG incubator. Today is lockdown!!!!!

    Too much ventilation will not allow the humidity to build up inside the incubator.
