Thankyou, I lured her off nest with peas and took them but I left her a couple. If they hatch then great, we could keep them, I just thought she'd feel better having a few left. I candled the ones I took and they hadn't developed so I dont feel too guilty x
I feel like this is the best choice, I would love for her to hatch a couple but shes collected far more than we could manage. Will she be upset for long? X
Hi, so I'll start with the backstory, I wanted 3 ducks, 2 girls and 1 boy...I ended up with 2 boys and a girl, so I planned to add another girl. 4 ducks is very much my limit sue to space. Unfortunately we lost a boy to a fox in december so I got 2 sexed girls. One quacks, the other chirps so...
Thank you!

Oh that's a shame, I was hoping one would be ok with mum duck, we dont have room for lots of ducks. I dont expect her to sit on any to be honest, apparently they are not good at it so it's just wishful thinking any way x
You might not be wrong, our dog used to go crazy for them when they were ducklings and chirping around, now they're adults and quack shes fantastic with them. Could you leave them out with a netting over the top if its crows? We're in england so I might be completely off but my partner asked...
I've put the surviving ducks back in their old house at night which I think/hope is foxproof so it will be difficult to tell if it comes back. I've also added strings covered in tin cans and bells with shiny things on, got my boys to pee round the garden and have the dog on duck duty during the...
