    Ok, I did that. He doesn't pull away at all, no matter what pressure I apply.

    I splinted his foot yesterday because he had a curled foot. I took it off today to check his foot and now he's walking like this?? Poor baby, how do I help him??

    I do have a scale. What about opening up the incubator for the length of time it takes to weigh all the eggs? Can this be detrimental? That's why I didn't candle on day 7 because I thought I would be to slow and damage them somehow.

    I was keeping it between 30% and 50% for the most part. At day 18, my air cells were a little small, so based on recommendations from here, I delayed lock down for 1 day, went dry that night and on day 19, my air cells had increased alot, so I upped the humidity to approx 65-70% and went on...

    This one day old chick is always falling over. He's spunky and gets around (with a "limp"), but I think there's something wrong with his foot. Thoughts? Should I be doing anything for him (or her)?

    I have 2 chicks this morning!!! I'm so happy, but a little worried. One is bleeding, not a lot, but is leaving blood smears around the incubator. Should I do anything?

    I didn't calibrate it, I bought it brand new, a digital thermometer/hygrometer. I read that I should measure temperature on top of the eggs, so I sat it on an overturned bowl, however, I'm just realizing that it may have been a little to high up, it was actually about 1.5 inches above the eggs...
