    Lonely Guinea

Thank you for the advise. It’s my husband’s guinea and my chickens, so I will leave it up to him, but wanted to know if it is an option. I feel so sorry for him.

    Lonely Guinea

Hello, we have one male guinea left, that hasn’t been killed by neighbor dogs, and he seems real lonely. He has been hanging around my chicken coop that has 11 hens and 1 rooster. Should I try putting him in with them? He does have his own pen, but just seems real lonely.

Well, it took both my husband and me to get them all in, but we did it. Lol Sure hope they start catching on soon!

New chickens not entering enclosed part of coop at night

We have a couple of screened doors to ventilate it in the summer. Just wish they would go into the part I can completely close up.

New chickens not entering enclosed part of coop at night

I was hopeful tonight that they would go in, because it rained all day yesterday and they went from huddled right inside the door to roosting. All but 2 of them were up there this morning when I went to open it up. Then tonight they are all inside the covered part of the coop (not out in the...

New chickens not entering enclosed part of coop at night

Thank you, that’s a great suggestion. I’ll try that. It is suppose to rain tomorrow, so maybe they will stay in the covered “outside area” and find their way into the enclosed part. Might make it easier to block the entrance to the run too. Lol

New chickens not entering enclosed part of coop at night

I had to replace my old flock and brought home 15 new chickens this evening. We have an enclosed part of the coop where they can roost at night and the nesting boxes are also in there. We leave the light on from early evening till 10:00. None of the new chickens went in tonight. They are...

Chicken stretching neck out and making strange noise often

I'm still working on uploading the video. I started it over because it seemed to have stopped. Sorry it's taking so long. I went out to watch the ladies a little bit ago and she doesn't seem to be doing it anymore. Not positive, but still curious what it is.

Not sure the name of the medicine was even on the bottle and I don't have it anymore. The vet is a country doc and office and the way they do things not real fancy like the city vets.

Chicken stretching neck out and making strange noise often

Not sure how to describe it. I am uploading the video to You Tube now and will post the link when it is done. It's taking it a while.

Chicken stretching neck out and making strange noise often

This afternoon I noticed my chicken making a strange noise and she stretches her neck at the same time. It's almost like a spasm. I have a video of it, but wasn't sure if we could upload them on here. There are 11 chickens total and she is the only one doing it. They just finished...
