It's not just you here's a couple for you
I owned a business for many years and as part of that set appointments with customers at their house. I'm one of those people that always has to arrive 10-15 minutes early to everything so I usually would sit out in my truck in front of their house until...
It amazes me how many people don't carry any cash. The younger generation you can kind of figure they grew up with debit cards and ATM machines but I have friends and family 50+ years old that carry zero cash. To me it's nuts when you stop in a store for a soda and have to use a debit card or...
I'm sorry that your still going through this but again my advice would be to stop him from doing anything more than getting the rest of the materials to your house.
I know you have a big very kind heart and want to believe he will change and do a good job and everything will work out. It won't...
It's been awhile and mostly I grow hydroponically but Basil I plant in the summer it won't take a freeze but will grow like a weed all summer. If you plant it be prepared to make lots of pesto or something because your going to have lots of it to deal with. Oregano will take some cold not a...
SW Ga you have to be somewhat close to me and with the weather we've been having and guessing your not going to plant until the last week of March or first couple weeks of April you should be fine with that compost and area. I like to go three months but have used some at two months and it's...
I was hoping you would be closer. At this point I would advice you to get the materials on your site even if you have to borrow the truck and trailer to get them there. Then tell him the rebar must be used and must be put in with the proper epoxy or stop all work and refund the balance of labor...
I'm sorry your going through this sad to say it happens a lot. I hope you don't mind me asking some questions and making some recommendations. Let me say now I'm sorry this post is going to be so long and I'm not a block mason and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night lol but I do have some...
Sounds like some good choices. My concern with that plan is won't it take a few years to get the orchard established and producing enough to generate income? Have you considered bees? Have you considered some conventional farming until you can earn enough to invest in a aquaponic or hydroponic...
Thanks it was a kick in the butt however others were hit a lot harder. The pics were after we had put lids on and righted some of them. Took us a little bit to think to take pictures.
I won't I've seen to many weird things happen with hives. About 3 or 4 years ago a friend and I went through hives did some mite checks and things looked pretty good. A day or two later I decided I was going to go ahead and do a mite treatment to be ready for the next flow. I didn't have enough...
I take it you run mostly double deeps? We have people that run both depending on what they are doing with the bees make splits or make honey. It also depends on how often and how hives are moved if moving them often and by hand most people run a single deep. I usually end up with some of both...
Lost about 60 hives. If you look most of those hives that are in that first pic are nucs and there were a few package bees mixed in so they don't stay there long and drift isn't a big problem in those. Most of my hives are on 4 way pallets
