    22 weeks old and still not laying ????

    I have 3 RIR and 3 Welsumer all 22 weeks old and still no eggs. Is this normal ? I started feeding them layer feed at 19 weeks. I was told 19-20 weeks they should lay. I didn't want to prematurely post this so I gave them two extra weeks. They don't appear to be squatting as other threads...

    If my coop is 4 ft high what height would you recommend the roost be set at ? I put one at 6 inches and one at 14 inches. Should I raise them both or do they need a lower one to reach the higher one ? If you can see in the picture my best boxes are 2 inches off the floor.

    The roosts are approximately 6 inches in this picture. I left the front one at 6 but I moved the rear one up to 14 inches so it would be higher than the nest boxes. No squatting that I noticed.

    The welsummer in your pictures is 7 weeks old ? Maybe I was misinformed about the age of my birds. I bought mine 3 weeks ago and the breaded told me they were 4 weeks old. It looks like your welsummer is noticeably bigger than mine at 7 weeks.
