    Question about new chicks with older chicks

    Wondering the best way to add 5 chicks that are 7 weeks adding to A flock of 3 old timers. Also how long do they have to eat the baby chick food as opposed to adult chicken food

    was curious how far from crate should heat lamp be its 85 degrees out of the direct light of the chicks. not new to backyard chicks just my others are 4 years old so i forget plus they are in my guest room in warm house

    Thanks me too we loss our first set of chicks to a predator so trying to keep our new batch safe ! Gonna get 19 gauge
