    well my redsexlinks started to lay. i am not sure weather it was there age or that fact that i put a light in the coop that comes on at night and morning to give them more daylite. instead of getting 4-6 eggs a day i am getting 16-18 a day.

    when i started i bought mine from a farmer who had r/reds. paid $16.00 4 a laying hen each. since then i look on cregslist 4 best deals. bought redsexlinks 10 wks old 4 $5.00 ea. it took them another 16 wks to start laying. if i buy more i would pay the extra $ 4 layers. jack foley in spring...
