    I am looking for someone who would be willing to sell me (and send me) either Silver Dorkings, Wyandottes, or another heritage breed, dual purpose bird. I live in Northern BC so you would have to live fairly close to ship live birds though. Thanks...I sure hope somoene can help me here! Jaclyn.

    Its really difficult for me to find any heritage breeds available in Canada. I am looking for Dorkings or another rare dual purpose breed, but havent found anyone within Canada, and the US cant ship here. Anyone know of a hatchery or small scale homestead that will ship day olds or hatching...

    Cornish X...what to feed?

    Ive been feeding my chicks starter for the last 2 weeks. Now I want to switch to cracked grain (flax, oat, wheat, etc) and cook it. But Im thinking the protien isnt high enough for them. Should I add something to the feed? If so, what? Something the"old timers" did before all this commercial...

    OK so I need a little advice on building an appropriate tractor for... 30 cornish giants and 6 turkeys. I really want them to be partially pasture fed but I just cant figure out how to build a mobile unit that large that I alone can move every day. Maybe its just not possible. You tell me:)...

    Chicken feed?

    Has anyone figured out an approximate amount of feed one chicken will consume in its time before butchering?Trying to get an idea of how much it will cost to raise 30 cornish giants. I plan on pasturing them during the day as often as possible but sometimes the weather simply wont allow that...
