Hello everyone I have a question for y’all. I currently have 4 two month old Barnevelder’s they’re currently out in coop and free range full time. I just picked up a couple Easter eggers and a gold sex link from local feed store. They’re about a week old. My question is when can I integrate...
My first flock they’re about 2 months old I know it’s early considering but I have one that looks completely different and acts completely different looking for some insight to see if it’s a rooster or not like I think it is. I’ve added some photos by itself and one with the rest of the crew...
Those HOA’s are haters so good luck to you on that sense. I was going to do the same and install a lights near coop as well so I like where your head is at. Good luck to you
Hello my 1 month old chicks are outgrowing their enclosure and I’m ready for them to move into coop. I’m unsure of where to put the water and feed should it be inside coop until they get older or should it just be outside from the start thanks for help
Hello everyone. These are my first chickens they’re a month old and outgrowing their enclosure. I’m ready for them to move to forever home. My question is about the feeder and waterer should they be placed inside coop until they get a bit older or should they just be left outside.
I have a door for myself to get into run portion a door to get in
thanks for sharing article I will check it out. There’s an operational window in coop and the whatever vents between roof and structure. They also be able to access shade under hen house. And that part of my yard gets shade first.
Dogs aren’t a worry surrounding backyards don’t have any that would cause harm. Just smaller dogs. I didn’t think of raccoons though. Typically don’t see them or signs of them in my neighborhood. But I will look into the hardware cloth! I’ve been seeing ads all over the place for automatic ones...
Dont have a door for entry itself into coop. Just for me to get into the run. I live in the city. So outside of cats I’m not sure what predators we would encounter
Hello thanks for your reply. I’ve attached some photos of inside of run it’s fully enclosed with wire top and bottom. I guess my main concern is I plan to have the roosting area closer to the entry way. Planning on putting nesting area in the back.
Hello yall. I have a question my chicken coop in fully enclosed with chicken wire from all sides. Do I need to have a door into entrance into coop itself? Or should they be okay?
