Pushed it back in again last night, was still in this morning... have her in the tub downstairs... covered window and closed the door. Will check her fequently... thanks again e1!
A friend came over and helped... the tissue is pink and healthy. She pushed it back out again, so I am going to go push it back in again. I may have to bring her inside somewhere, as light is the only way to keep her warm in the coop. It hasn't been so bad lately... they didn't have the heat...

I may have the same problem... I separated her... how do you push it back in? Can it be pushed back in with a sore on it, or should I just put her down, for her sake? I discovered it yesterday, took her to the tub and tried to clean her off, she seemed ok, until I made the stream a little...
ok was reading a post from a buff orpington with a similar wound--- I am thinking it may just be an problem between hens and am thinking that maybe the other hens are picking on the leghorns not only because they are a lighter, smaller breed but probably has alot to do with the large floppy...
