    Barn yard mix. Mom is a black silkie, dad is 1/2 barred rock and 1/2 aracauna. 19 weeks old. Small like a silkie. Please tell me this is not another rooster. The other two that hatched with this one are definitely roosters, they have been crowing for weeks. This one has not crowed yet.

    11 weeks old. Anyone have any guesses? Hen is Golden Comet and Rooster I think is of the dominique breed. The man I got him from said he was a Plymouth Barred Rock, However, he has a huge rose comb.

    Good Morning! Anyone have a guess on the sex of these 8 week old babies? The black one and the black with white neck mama is a black sizzle, the barred rock looking one came from a golden comet, The rooster to all is a barred rock/araucana. Barn yard mixes, but I love them.

    I am in a similar situation. I have two sister silkies, both sitting on eggs together. The mama's are extremely close and are always together. I'm terrified.

    He was a single hatch He/she was a single hatch. I wish there had been at least one more so he would have had a friend. All the other hens have made life hard for him. But has finally starting defending itself.

    I hope I get to! But fear it might not be the case. I did expect to hear some crowing attempts and at least spur buds by now.

    It's hen is a golden comet, the roo was a Plymouth barred rock.
