Hi, my wife is determined to let our broody hens hatch some fertilized eggs next spring. Where can we get the eggs from here in the upstate of SC? How long do eggs take to get here once we realize one or two of the girls have gone broody? Do the sitting hens need to be isolated in the coop or run?

The light would only stay on a few minutes. It would go off just after the door closes for the night. This is not the light you would program to come on for extending the laying during the winter. That I will not do as I thing the chickens need a rest during the winter.
