I've been looking (may have missed it), but I'm looking to move from starter feed to grower for my 10 week old buckeye chickens. We started them on turkey starter, so I trying to figure out what type of grower feed to use.
Thanks!
Been busy in the garden. Loafs of zucchini bread in the freezer, cans of dill pickles and sweet pickles on the shelves. Unfortunately, something got into my sweet corn, thankfully the damage was minor. The worst part is we haven't had any rain for 3 weeks. Thank God it rained today!
We moved into a rural home with a little land and a barn and thought we needed some chickens. We have 10, 7 week old Buckeyes that have been outside for a week. The roost bars, water, feeder, and nesting box are from the family farm and are still in good shape even though they're 50 years old...
For our first year, surprised to say we haven't had a big issue with pest in the garden (yet). Sweet corn, zucchini, squash, broccoli, cucumbers, and potatoes are doing great. Watermelon, Strawberries, green beans, and tomatoes are coming along.
It's been a few months, so I'll bump this thread. Our Buckeyes are 7 weeks old. We got a straight run of 10 and it looks like we're going to have more roosters than hens...so we're looking to get 4-5 Buckeye pullets if anyone can help...will travel within 3 hours (we're in SW Ohio).
