    Hi everyone and thanks. I posted about it in the injuries forum. Just cleaned the cage and I'm gonna reward and retreat the toe. And I'll make extra toast to reward myself.

    This has been scaring me for at least a couple weeks now. I'm not sure what it is or how to treat it and I'm worried to death about this bird. About two weeks or more ago I had to grab one of the chickens and put her in a cage on the front porch. She had a big black scab on top of the middle...

    Dunno. Not sure what happened to it. Buts it's on the top of one toe - there was this big black scab. I loosened it up some and about a couple of weeks later it fell off, along with the toe nail. Its bloody and slightly swollen, and is now wrapped and bandaged.

    Lots of rain and thunderstorms and funny palm trees that look like shriveled poor things - and Palm trees that look like the explosion of a firework. But also comfortable warm weather suited to lizards and palmettoes. And long, hilly bike paths. Worms are a rare sight, but they are crazy floppy...
