    I processed chickens, 16 days ago, and put them immediately in the fridge to rest. And then I forgot they were there! Are they still safe to eat? Feeling sad that I wasted their little lives.

    I feed her the same as the rest of the flock. They get Bar Ale organic pellet feed. I offer oyster shells and they get fresh water daily. They also have a large free range enclosure, so I don’t know what else she may have foraged.

    Well, this “cockrel” laid its first egg three days ago! I couldn’t figure out who laid, until I found her on the nest this AM. Just 4 months old... so many she has some sort of hormonal imbalance to have matured so quickly?

    A chicken laid a fairy egg two days in a row and now laid more of a pullet sized egg. It the same color as my wellsummer’s, but she has also laid eggs on the same days.. The only birds I have that are ready to lay are my Salmon Faverolles - but I was expecting completely different egg colors...
