How long before a broody hen will lay eggs again?

I am glad to hear my broody hen will become broody again after not too long. I couldn't break her so I got some fertilized eggs from a friend. She hatched them and all is well. Now I want to order some Cornish x the day I see her go broody again!!!! Whoop whoop natural chicken here I come...

    My hens aren't laying

My girls are10 months old. For about the last month if I have gotten one egg a day I have been lucky. Is it something I am doing. I try to free range them when the weather is good. I give treats and they have great nesting boxes. This is my first group. I was hoping to get more at the poultry...

    How much do I feed?

I am putting my buff orpingtons, 10 weeks now, out in their coop and will be free ranging them in about a week or so for a few hours a day. Do I supplement their free ranging? Thanks... Joan in Oregon
