Oh that is good news. I’ve definitely got two of one breed and one of another. No 1 is quieter had wing feathers twice as long as the other two and had little sprouty tail feathers today.
There great fun and easy to keep. I’ve just hatched chicks for the first time of keeping chickens for 10 years . So that’s a learning curve. Think the chicks are all cockerels, but hay ho.
Sulmtalers .. keep going broody and so not very good Layers so put one of them to use and just hatched three light sussex. So I shall have 4 non laying hens and 3 cockerels probably!!!
Right - progress update
we’ve had 4 hatch out of the 6. The two eggs left have not done anything on day 21 so presume were not viable - was going to give till tomorrow and then remove , is that right ?

We’ve been keeping chickens in our garden for over 10 years. Because of the unforced lockdown and a broody hen , we decided to have a go at hatching eggs under this broody. Well today I’ve gone to check on her and we have to start of a hatch. Can anyone let me know how long it takes. They are...
